I had some time to work on Betty tonight. I had planned to put a barrette in her hair, but decided on flowers instead after a few experiments. I am really delighted with how it turned out. Each flower has a pearl bead center. They remind me of hydrangea flowers, except bright yellow. I also gave her a wide, plain yellow belt. The detail is on the back instead of the front, with a bow-like gathering and a yellow leaf with white embroidering. All that is left now is her mouth and eyes. I am leaving them to the last because I need to decide on how her features will look.
