Bookmarks in Progress

Hello!

I had the urge to draw on the weekend and whipped up these little bookmarks. I still need to add ribbons or some other kind of dangly thing onto the ends of them, but I am happy with how they are turning out so far.

They have been drawn in ink and painted with watercolour. I laminated them to protect the mini paintings from damage.

It's exciting to be drawing and painting again. I found it rather difficult at first though since I haven't done it in a while. I think I will get better at this with practice, but this is not bad for just starting up again.

Hurray!

hey, this reminds me of the days where you drew and coloured on the paper and varnished them with the stuff that you got from art class :)

Blaze: I'm glad you like them! They'll be up in the store once I've added the finishing touches!

Thanks, Sadie!

Yup, Em, this is just like the old days when we used to varnish our pictures with that stuff I got from art class. Except, now they're laminated, and it's way better! I'm pretty excited about this, lol.

Came across your blog through Etsy. You ought to have urges like this more often - the bookmarks are great! How wonderful that when you do have a creative urge, it inspires you to something this beautiful.

Thanks for dropping by my blog, angelamichelle, and thank you so much for your kind words :)

I think your toothpick art dolls are excellent products of your creative urges too!
