Behind every website is the crazy person who thought it would be a good idea. Mytutorlist.com, autumnpresence.com, and this blog are all designed and maintained by Marie Tai. An artist, serial entrepreneur, nature lover, and mild technology geek, Marie loves to do many different things at the same time. This often leads to a fast and fantastic burn-out, but it's definitely fun while it lasts.
I went to the Port Moody Station Museum today and a man in a rabbit suit handed me a carrot - a real carrot. I was quite amused. I took it home and put it into a vase. :P
This carrot in a vase became the backdrop for some new pics of my brooches. I have now made each one a lovely drawn card background. Here they are for your viewing pleasure.

Oooh!! I love the bluebird brooch! :) What fun that is!!!
And the carrot is a lovely backdrop for so pretty of pins!
Hi Marie! Thanks for visiting my site and leaving such kind comments! I did make the toys (mostly crocheted), and I found it very satisfying! Crochet is easier than it looks. It just takes about 10 minutes to get the basics.
Here's something funny for you: I was up late into the night making brooches for my upcoming baby shower, and then I came and checked my RSS feed. I read your comment, checked out your site, and saw some very similar (but much better looking) crafts to what I'd been working on all night! haha When I blog about my brooches, I just might have to link to you (if that's OK!).
Wow, thanks everyone for stopping by and leaving a comment!
Kristena: I'm sure the brooches for your baby shower will be very beautiful. It's great that you're making something personal for your guests. Of course you can link to my blog. I would be pleased and very honoured. :)

I'm glad you like the unusual carrot in a vase backdrop.
very cute indeed! hahaha I like your carrot, and I think it's hilarious that a bunny gave you it.
thanks for stopping by my blog! I love your broaches and what a kind carrot gesture by the rabbit :)
Thanks so much for visiting my blog and leaving me a comment! :) That is funny about the carrot, but even better what you did with it. ;)
