Vancouver's 24 Hours newspaper reported today that Sam, the girl Koala being given water in this first photo, was taken to a shelter where she met Bob, another rescued Koala. Both of them were treated for burns on their paws. Bob and Sam have since become great friends, often putting their arms around each other and giving each other hugs. It's good to find a friend when you're going through such tough times!
There's also a feature of the cutest koala here. Someone left a bucket of water out and she hops right in! *sizzling koala sounds* Ah! Much better! Now you know how hot it must have been out there!

They are sooo adorable! What great pictures.
Very cute pics!!!! Been to Australia myself a few years ago, cuddled a koala and just couldn't get enough of these lovable creatures...
It is terrible what the fires have done to the people and the wildlife. An estimated million animals may have died. The koalas are so sweet. They move so slow I'm amazed they survived at all
oh my gosh - that is SO adorable - a Koala having a bath ... but so sad about the devastation the fires have caused.
