There's really not much to these little fish, just a pink blob, a tail, and BIG EYES.
They swim really fast, and they appear to be curious. When I shine a flashlight in, one little fella inevitably comes to investigate and stare. I stare at him, he stares at me.
Then he darts away, quick as lightning!
Mommy fish comes to have a look too, but she's a bit more menacing. I don't think she likes all the extra attention I'm giving to her. Her policy is drop food or get lost.
I managed to get a front-on view of this little guy, and I think it looks kinda cute :)
There are about nine little fishie babies now. So far, two of them have died. The dead ones lie on their side and seem to be covered in large whitish fuzzy blobs. I'm not sure what that's all about. The rest of the fishies seem to be fine though. They're very lively and dart about. And, yes, many have escaped the containment. They lurk fearlessly about the weeds among the big fish. Oooh!

they're so cute! my husbnad and I go to the local garden centre to look at the fish and repltiles - it's like a mini-zoo but without the entrance fee!
Lol, that's a pretty good idea niftyknits!
Awwww! Are they guppies?? The whitish blobs could be some sort of fungus... watch out! If it is, hopefully none of the other little babies get it too!
