Here are Mummy Fish and Husband Fish, the proud parents! Mummy fish still looks pregnant. I think more babies are on the way. I counted 5 baby fish out so far.
Here's Mummy Fish with a baby lurking underneath. She doesn't seem to mind the lurker, and has made no attempts to eat it, phewf!
Here's one little guy that escaped the baby compartment and is lurking in the "big" fish home. I hope Tiggy and Pineapple Bun don't find him!
Here he is again, looking all camouflaged in the weeds.
The camera flash makes him look white, but he's actually red like his daddy. Platy babies take after the colour of their dad, so all the babies will be red. For now, they look kinda pink cuz they're see-through.
You can see the reddish colour much better in this picture. Look at those googly eyes! Awww!
I can't wait until all the babies are out. They're hiding all over the place right now! Fun, fun, fun!

Congrats~! They are lovely~!
They are very cute! Happy fish watching.
I loved when I was able to get my fish to breed. They alwasy excaped the compartment though.
hee hee, very cute! Congrats!
Nice! And in about another month you'll have more!
I don't even trap the babies anymore. I have my platies and guppies in a well planted tank and plenty of babies escape the parents' hunger.
Good photos! It's hard to photograph fish.
aww congrats grandmaw!
so cute, We did that once years ago. Then they all ate each other.

OK cool! I've just been googling to see if I can figure out how far away my little platy is from having babies. I think maybe its a week, having checked out your 'before' and 'after' photos and blog entries. YAY!
I will have to go do some more reading of your blog now to see how your fishies are doing now they are all grown up :)
