Rust Bot

Rust Bot is a simple bot made from old metal. He's rusty and old, but he's still in good working condition. Admittedly, he does require more oil and tune ups than the newer models, but Rust Bot is classic and reliable when you take good care of him.

Rust Bot measures about 4 inches tall. He is now available in the shop!

Roll Bot

Roll Bot has never liked to move slowly so regular Bot legs just didn't impress him. He asked his Maker to give him a wheel instead so he could speed along the roadways uninhibited and free. Roll Bot is daring and brave. Nothing can slow him down.
Roll Bot is about 6.5 inches tall. He is now available in the shop.

Uncle Bot

Uncle Bot is an all-round nice guy. He's a bit on the quirky side because he dresses old-school and has nerdy glasses, but he tries really hard to be a good uncle to his nieces and nephews. This often results in embarrassing attempts to dance or tell jokes, but he never fails to deliver a good present on Christmas.
Uncle Bot is approximately 5.5 inches tall. He is now available in the shop!

Goodbye, Zombie Dave

Today, Zombie Dave is off to terrorize a new home. "Sold!" he cackles now, and imagines all the fresh, tasty brains he can snack on. I hope the people that have adopted Zombie Dave own helmets! They'll want to keep those on - especially at night. He's a sneaky one, that Zombie Dave!Nervous Bot was packaged today too. He hasn't been sold yet, and that makes him nervous. He's standing in his packaging, looking amazingly like he needs to pee... hehehe! Poor guy! I hope someone adopts him soon so he can stop looking so fidgety. But, then again, who am I kidding? He's Nervous Bot! Nothing will make him less nervous!

You can try, though. I've heard he has a soft spot for lemon squares (with extra icing sugar!) and hot tea. He's apparently a sucker for hot biscuits too.

This December and New Years, all purchases will come with a free surprise gift. It's my Christmas present to you. The presents are different for everyone, but they're all good :)

Happy Holiday Shopping!

Fly Bot, Fight Bot, And A Happy Thanksgiving

Happy Thanksgiving to you all! I had a quiet, sit-down family dinner today, and it was really enjoyable. It will be the last Thanksgiving dinner in this house as we are moving to a new place at the end of the month. I have some feelings of sadness as I consider that. I have lived in this house my whole life since I was one!

My favourite part of the dinner was when we went around and said what we were most thankful for this year. I thought that was really special. For me, one of the things I'm really thankful for is the extra time I've had the past couple months to rethink my life, and focus on my art. I know that I have to find a new job soon, but it's been great to blog, draw, dream, and imagine a better future. There's a lot of work to be done in moving, schooling, and job hunting, but I feel more relaxed now than I've been in while.

Here's a peek at some of the new Bots I've been working on.
This is Fly Bot. Fly Bot has only one wish - to fly. He was born with wing-like hands and feet, but he is as heavy as lead in composition. He likes to stomp about the house and leap off shelves, leaving big dents where he lands. Usually, that's just the bed, so both surface and Fly Bot are okay.
This is Fight Bot. Fight Bot really likes to pick a fight. He'll challenge anyone, anytime, anywhere and he'll probably win. However, he doesn't want to give his awesome skills away, so he just play fights now - mostly with Kid Bot. But, just to be clear, he has a spin kick that can rock your world and literally knock your socks off.
Here are Kid Bot and Fight Bot goofing off in my room. Fight Bot's ready to show Kid Bot some smooth moves, but Kid Bot has some tricks of his own to show off. Hie yaaaaah!

Have a happy Thanksgiving. May it be a memorable one.

Kid Bot and Nervous Bot

I decided to make more robots because I love it. Here are two new fellas. Meet Kid Bot! Kid Bot loves to play. His favourite hobbies are soccer, Lego, and building forts (in the living room). He also likes to dress up and pretend that he's something else - like a Pirate! Oddly enough, he also like to pretend to be a ballerina. That makes his mum worried.
This is Nervous Bot. Nervous Bot is looking for true love, but he's really nervous around the ladies. He wears his good luck legs to give him courage when he goes out to meet new people, but the pink polka dots seem to do him more harm than good. Perhaps you can overlook his flaws in light of his underlying good character and sensitivity?
Paper Bots make fun home decor. You can pose them on your fridge to make fun scenes and to accessorize your fridge magnets, such as that flower basket shown above. Why have a boring fridge when you can cover it with awesome robots?
As you can see, Paper Bots can also make fun additions to things like bouquets. Kid Bot looks so adorable peeking out like that. You could easily add a bot to your bouquets by just sticking them among the blooms.
Another idea is to tape a thin wooden dowel to the back. Then you can poke the Bot into the bouquet without worrying about it falling off. You could poke your Bot into any household plant to make it look like you have robots hanging around the house! Don't put paper Bots where it gets wet though since that would mean melted Bots :(

You can find these new Bots in the shop.

Have a happy day!

Rat King Bot - Inspired by The Nutcracker

I started working on a new Bot. This time, it's a bit less robot-like and lot more animal-like.It's a Rat King! He's still got robotic features, but he's lively and he dances! Check out his very globular thighs! That's one well-fed rat! Which would make sense, of course, since he's a king.

He's available in the shop.

Have a happy day!

Good-bye, Stress Bot

Stress Bot was packaged up today to be sent off. As you can see, he is really worried about going to a new home. He tried to bust his way out of the cello, but that was some good quality cellophane. He's just stuck in a really weird looking position now.

I think he'll calm down (as much as a Stress Bot possibly can) when he gets to his new home. I tucked him neatly into a reinforced envelope and sealed it with a really nice new owl sticker. I hope Stress Bot appreciates the gesture.

Have a happy, stress-free day! I'm off to put Stress Bot in the mailbox. Ah, I can hear the complaints about the scary mailbox already...

Introducing Wee Bot

Wee Bot is very small. He's also very cute. He's a very good little bot that doesn't bother anyone much. Although he does like to ask questions. If you want him to stay quiet, just give him a chocolate chip cookie, and he'll sit down and be quiet as a mouse.

Wee Bot is now available in the store. Get him quick if he's your new favourite. Stress Bot has already been reserved!

Second Batch of Bots Are Up!

The second batch of robots are now listed in the shop. They feature some very nice backgrounds, lol. Can you tell I am very proud of them? They are the next step in changing out backgrounds. But, most importantly of all, the backgrounds show off some really cool Bots. First up is Garden Bot. He's your average green-thumbed plant lover. He loves the green space and the green space loves him! He's tall, lanky, and handsome. What a catch!
Next up is Vintage Bot. This gal loves her thrift shops and antique shops. She could spend all day browsing them and proudly shows off her finds. She's especially fond of vintage lace.
Finally, there's Glee Bot. What can I say, the guy is happy! He's all smiles, laughs, and dancing. Wanna make him even more happy? Just bring out the big guns and offer him popcorn. Oh, he'll be all over you.

Have a happy day!

First Batch Of Robots Are In The Shop

The first batch of Robots are in the shop now. Hurry over so you can snap up the one you like best. They are only $10 for a hand-drawn original, since I am testing out this product. So don't miss out. There's Zen Bot, the epitomy of peace and tranquility.
Nurture Bot, the caring, sweet motherly type.
Stress Bot, the one that's always freaking out and worrying.
And Control Bot, the calm methodical worker that analyzes problems and fixes them.

More bots are on the way!

Sneak Peek At The Robots

I finished up the first three paper robot jointed dolls, and decided to take some pics. Unfortunately, we had a situation.Stress bot got really agitated about photo taking. He wanted his pose just right for the picture. He tried to look intimidating with one arm up and one arm out.
He tried a jumping pose because he thought that would look cool, which it did, but it was hard on his knees. And after that, he was just a wreck because he couldn't find the perfect pose, and nothing was going right, and people were going to laugh at him, and what if they thought he was funny looking, and...
Control bot thought it would be best if Stress bot just calmed down. He picked Stress bot up and waved him gently like a leaf on a tree, and Nuture bot sang lullabies to him. Stress bot thought it was very nice of them, but then he worried people would think he was weak. He was glad when the photo shoot was over so he could worry about something else.
Coming next? Zen bot, Vintage bot, Garden bot, and Glee bot! Stay posted!

Have a great day!

Paper Robots in Disguise... Well, in Progress Anyway

I am really excited to show you some new paper dolls coming to my shop soon! They're robots! This fellow you see here is freaking out over it. Actually, he's freaking out all of the time. He's a Stress Bot. He can't help it. He's frequently frazzled, most of the time anxious, and all of the time stressed out.
What you see here is his dichotomy. This is a Control bot. Control bots are calm and they take action to solve problems. They are thinkers, and they are technically savvy.

Stay posted for the finished robots. You're gonna love 'em!

Have a happy day!
